1. Acceptance of Membership Terms and Conditions
1.1 By clicking "Accept" to register, you will be deemed to have consented to these Membership Terms and Conditions.
1.2 These Membership Terms and Conditions incorporate in their entirety the Terms and Conditions of Use (including the definitions set out therein) and should be read by You in conjunction with those Terms and Conditions of Use.
1.3 We reserve the right to change or update these Membership Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice. Any revisions to these Membership Terms and Conditions will be notified to You the next time that You log on to the Site as a Member.

2. Description of Membership

2.1 Membership enables You to access and use various areas and services of this Site, including, without limitation, DiningDs forums and other Member Services as detailed via the Site Home Page.

3. Age of Consent

3.1 You must be 18 years or over to register as a Member.

4. Password Member Name and Security

4.1 Upon registration as a Member, You will select a Password and Member Name that You can use to access Your Member Profile and Settings and to log on to the Members' area of the Site.
4.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Your Password and Member Name and are responsible for all activities that occur under them. We do not have the means to check the identity of people using the Members' area of the Site and will not be liable where Your Password or Member Name are used by someone else.
4.3 You agree to notify Us immediately of any unauthorised use of Your Password or Member Name or any other breach of security of which You become aware.

5. Your warranties

5.1 You warrant that:
5.1.1 You meet the age restrictions set out in paragraph 3.1 above;
5.1.2 all information and details provided by You to Us (including on registration as a Member) are true, accurate and up to date in all respects and at all times (see Our Privacy Policy[insert link] for details on how to update Your personal data); and
5.1.3 You will comply with these Membership Terms and Conditions including, without limitation, the restrictions relating to acceptable use set out at section 6 below.
5.2 You agree to indemnify and hold Us harmless from any claim or damages (including any legal fees in relation to same) made by a third party in respect of any matter in relation to or arising from Your breach or suspected breach of these Membership Terms and Conditions or Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

6. Acceptable conduct at events

DiningDs prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming group.
 We therefore require that You do not:
6.1 say or do anything that would cause annoyance, inconvenience, harassment or needless anxiety to others;
6.2 use foul, threatening or offensive language including, without limitation, racist, sexist, ageist, homophobic or sexually explicit language;
6.3 make insulting remarks to or about other Members ("flaming");
 
6.4 We may take any or all of the following action at Our discretion:

6.4.1 issue Members with verbal or written warnings (and take such further action as we deem appropriate where such warnings are not heeded);

6.4.2 suspend or terminate a Member's Account without notice at any time.

 

7. Termination of Membership 

7.1 You can terminate Your Membership at any time by contacting DiningDs@gmail.com

7.2 We reserve the right to terminate membership of individuals at any time without giving reason.

 8. Security and Privacy

8.1 Your security and those of all Our Members is very important to Us. Please read Our Privacy Policy for important information regarding the use of Your personal data and Your rights in relation to this.

9. Cancellation Policy:

1. Cancelled bookings will be refunded (less a £5 cancellation charge per head) up to 1 week prior to event. Up to 48 hours notice 50% refund. Less than 48 hours notice no refund. 

10. Pricing

We put a lot of time and energy into planning and hosting our meals and events and also into advertising and promoting the group to attract new members. The nominal membership fee covers a small amount of our costs such as the website, phone calls and advertising.

We include a small service charge on our dinners and some events to cover our dinner, drinks and travel expenses so that we are not out of pocket on the night.

Privacy policy

We take the privacy rights of users of this Site very seriously and seek to ensure the highest standards of compliance with UK Data Protection Laws and Regulations.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated in and subject to the Site Terms and Conditions. This Privacy Policy explains to You how We may use Your Data when You register as a Member (as relevant) or otherwise use the Site. You expressly consent to the use of Your Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

 

1. Your Data
1.1 "Your Data" means any information about You which is personally identifiable, including, without limitation, Your name, address, telephone number, email address, financial details, Member Name, Password, comments, profiles, personal descriptions, photos and other information from which You can be identified and which You may disclose to Us or otherwise via the Site at any time.

 

 

2. When do We collect Your data?
2.1 If You register as a Member, We collect Data when You:
2.1.1 register as a Member;
2.1.2 update Your Member Profile or Settings; and
2.1.3 post an entry on the Site.
2.2 If You otherwise use the Site (whether or not You are a Member), We collect Your Data from You:
2.2.1 when You make a complaint or enquiry or provide other feedback to Us;
2.2.2 when You submit an entry to a competition or prize draw;
2.2.3 when You request to be sent Our Newsletter;
2.2.4 in monitoring Your communications sent via and use of the Site ensure and check compliance with the Terms and Conditions of Use or Membership Terms and Conditions or otherwise as required by law; and

3.1.2 process Your registration as a Member and to process and administer Your Membership (where appropriate);

3.1.4 investigate any suspected breach of the Terms and Conditions of Use or Membership Terms and Conditions (as relevant) made by or otherwise relating to You and to monitor compliance including by way of checking postings to the Site, retaining forum or chat room exchanges and using keyword triggers to investigate usage that may be inappropriate;
3.1.5 where (and only where) requested by You, to send You and keep You updated with information by email about existing and new services and special offers from Us;
3.1.6 where (and only where) requested by You, to send You information by e-mail about related products or services of selected third parties that may be of interest to You; and
3.1.7 where you are a prize winner, to publish or otherwise make available a list of prize winners.

 

To opt-out of receiving any information pursuant to paragraphs 3.1.5 or 3.1.6, You can:

  1. amend Your preferences accordingly in Your Profile or Settings;
  2. use the facility contained in any such communication; or

4. Will we pass on Your Data to third parties?
4.1 We may pass Your Data to other parties as follows:
4.1.1 Where relevant, Your Member Name and information you voluntarily provide in Your Member profile will be published on the Members' area of the site and this will be the identity by which You are known on the Site. Where other Members wish to chat or otherwise contact You, they will be able to identify You by Your Member Name and any other information You may yourself disclose via the Site.
4.1.2 To Our employees and agents to administer Your Membership and the services provided to You by Us now or in the future.
4.1.3 Some general statistical information about the Site User base, sales patterns, traffic volumes and related matters may be passed on to reputable third parties but these details will not include information personally identifying You.
4.1.4 We may disclose Your Data to the police, regulatory bodies or legal advisers in connection with any alleged criminal offence or suspected breach of the Terms and Conditions of Use and (where appropriate) Membership Terms and Conditions by You or otherwise where required by law.
4.2 We do not pass or sell Your Data to third persons for any other purpose than those set out in 4.1 above. Any marketing under paragraph 3.1.6 is conducted by Us on behalf of third parties and they do not have any access to Your Data unless You Yourself choose to contact them.
4.3 Always think carefully before disclosing Your Data or other information to other Members or otherwise posting Your Data on the Site. It is important that You are aware that any of Your Data or other information which You disclose to another Member may then be disclosed on the Site by that Member. As stated in the Terms and Conditions, We have no responsibility or control over the contents of communications made between Members.

5.1 We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect Your Data. All the Data collected by Us is stored on a secure server. The secure server software encrypts all information You input before it is sent to Us.
